Submitted by ardi on Tue, 01/12/2015 - 21:29

The second Drupal meetup was about Education.
Held on 17 October 2015, at 2pm, in the same place which is at DILO Tangerang again, we managed to invited IT practioner in education sector which is Mr. Hendro Wicaksono.

I personally think that he's a very high-profile person but with a very humble personality. Currently he's working as a librarian in Ministry of Education and Culture, Indonesia (Kemendikbud).

Below are some of his biography:

  • Founder and developer of Senayan Library Management System - SLiMS (http://slims.web.id/landing/)
  • Drupal savvy since ver. 5, and already been long time involved with Drupal in any project that he did.
  • Librarian System Engineer in Ministry of Education and Culture, Indonesia (Kemendikbud).
  • Lecture of Information Technology and Computer majoring Library Science at UIN (State Islamic University of) Jakarta.
  • Publication in the article in The Jakarta Post.

In the meetup he shared some of his experience and knowlegde about the project that he did so far, and also while he worked as librarian at Ministry of Education and Culture, Indonesia.
He also shared about his open-source platform that he developed using Drupal system which is called SLiMS.

For the first time, we organised this meetup as a paid meetup.
In order to join the meetup, participant need to pay only Rp50.000 (around USD4) as a attendence confirmation and for the food.
And surprisingly, the number of participant who shows up were actually a lot compare to the meetup in previous month.

All participants also had some fun-time during break time while enjoying their meal, and mingle around each other.

Below are the presentation slide, recorded meetup video, and few picts that were taken during the meetup.
Enjoy!
